My dad signing for his 3rd place Heat Race money of $20. He ran last in the Expert Final --but at least he made the Final. Not bad for racing against the Harley Davidson Factory Racers.

The 5 numbers listed under my dad's 82m were the top riders from CA. # 98 Joe Leonard, Top rider in the country for several years. # 54 Al Gunter, he won several national races.

Dad finished in 4th place but they only took the top 3 places to the Final.

It is due to their research that I am now going to be able to get my father's name on the Monument for EXPERT riders.

George is the field reporter for the WHITE PLATE FLAT TRACKERS ASSOC. AT STURGIS SD. It's for EXPERT RIDERS ONLY ( which he is ) and there is a nice Monument there with the WPFT MEMBERS NAMES ON THE MONUMENT.
