HomeStatesSubmitOther Reviews

There have been some reviews submitted for cemeteries, usually the older ones, which are no longer associated with a funeral home nor have an office staff with whom to meet. Some of these cemeteries do not even have caretakers in the true sense of the word.  These reviews will be placed here.

Cemeteries are list alphabetical by cemetery name, not by state.

If the cemetery isn't linked to a website, that is because I didn't find one. If you know of a website, I'll be happy to link it.

Culleoka, Collin County, Texas

"A historical cemetery, as this is where the families of the famous outlaws, The Bass Brothers, are buried. It is located at Shamrock Park, east of Culleoka, Texas, near Lake Lavon. There are about 70+ buried there, but only about 10 headstones can be found, and those are really ruined. And the grass is so high, it would be hard to find headstones anyway.  There is evidence of partying in the cemetery. I was in total shock! One would think that "respect for the dead" would come to mind. " -- June

Ehren Cemetery
Ehren Cemetery Rd

Went there a couple times. The grounds were taken care off and the markers seemed to be in good condition. One of the best ones in this area. The first time they had a sign with contact information but this last time we went there was no sign and of course like most cemeteries here, no office. -- Jessica

*Originally the Denham-Drexel community until 1949 when the name was officially changed to Land O'Lakes. "Several of the surrounding settlements' schools and post offices were consolidated to form what is now Land O'Lakes, including Fivay Junction, Big Cypress, Disston, Ehren, Drexel, Godwin, Mexico, Pleasant Plains, Shingleton Stemper, Myrtle-Denham and Tucker." -- Steve Rajtar, Land O'Lakes Historical Trail
