The following was sent to me by Annette Lowe, descendent and contributor to
my site. I have not verified her research but I know that she verifies her info, or gives a disclaimer.
Eliza Ward was born in 1807 and died in 1883. Wiley Peebles was born in 1806 and
died in 1870. In the early 1850s, they moved to Texas along with Wiley's twin brother Riley, older brother Isham, and several
connected families. Seven of their ten children survived to adulthood and all came to Texas with them. They are both
buried in Peebles Cemetery located between the community of Providence and Goodrich, Polk County, Texas.
